I would like to take this opportunity to offer a formal recommendation for Sign Tech International.
In the second half of 2007, Sign Tech was awarded the contract for fabricating two of our high-profile mixed use and retail/entertainment centers- Hill Country Galleria and Bridge Street Town Center which included Monaco Pictures Theatres. These contracts were awarded independently of each other by two separate Owner/Developers. Shortly after, another Owner on a third development awarded them yet another one of our projects, The Monarch in Austin. A five month lead time and 1.9 M worth of signs appeared to be a large hill to climb.

You might understand our concern that one shop could handle the volume of production simultaneously. This soon became the least of our worries as their shop drawings, prototypes and submittals started rolling in. Precise details, "outside the box" thinking on materials, and accurate samples quickly poured in our office. One mock-up in particular is actually on display in our office as a testament to the importance of collaboration between designer and fabricator.
Jim Beckett was (is) our primary contact within Sign Tech. He has the amazing and required ability to juggle multiple projects at various stages of production. Communication is, in my opinion, his finest asset. Our office received multiple phone calls and e-mails, double-checking schedules, informing of submittal deliveries and working over shop drawing details. Jim was always available, during that time, if I ever got his voicemail, it was because he was talking to someone else at my office! Jim's team at the shop are equally as personable and available. I frequently spoke with their fabrication technicians to discuss details and methods which might achieve better results with greater value.
Jim's second most valuable asset is that he and Sign Tech are PROACTIVE. Jim and I once joked that "if he didn't build Bridge Street, it wouldn't have gotten done." There was no time to waste, opening date was looming, Sign Tech took the lead, finished the job on time, and made everyone else look good in the process. These guys are team players, seamless integrating with others on site to get the job done right in the safest, cleanest, most efficient way possible.
In the design then build process, we don't have any control on who will build our designs. We can only recommend qualified people who we have worked with in the past and think might be suited for the job.
Without reservation, I highly recommend Sign Tech International as the contractor of choice to help solve your sign related needs. Actually, they do a lot more than signs, ask Jim, he can tell 'ya!

I am currently an associate Project Manager with Opus West Construction Corporation and have been working on the Hill Country Galleria project located in Bee Cave, Texas. Sign Tech International was awarded the signage contract for this 154 acre lifestyle development which opened in October of 2007. I have had the pleasure of working with Jim Becket and Sign Tech through the design and installation for this project.
Sign Tech was responsible for constructing the monument, directional, and parking garages for the Galleria. Their staff and installation crews were great to work with and were very diligent about meeting our construction schedule. Based on their performance, Opus is currently working with Sign Tech to develop a sign package for the office suites at the Hill Country Galleria. I strongly recommend Sign Tech for any signage needs on your next project.

Our Edgegrove sign was installed yesterday and I must say (as has everyone who's seen it) the sign is absolutely GORGEOUS. The milled-finish, clear coated aluminum is simply jewel-like — I'm glad your design team suggested that surface material.
The other tenants have told me they're excited to have this signage as a landmark for customers entering the center
at the Edgegrove/Bee Caves intersection.

When going through
the bid and design process, your willingness to take the extra time
to educate and direct us towards the most economical and effective
design for our money exceeded that of the competition by a considerable
margin.
Although Sign Tech was not the lowest bid (or the
highest), Sign Tech’s direction helped us to sort out the
overwhelming amount of details and specifications of all the different

I am the store designer with Family Christian Stores
in Grand Rapids, MI. I also manage the signs for our stores. I have
been with FCS for almost 3 years, and have been working with Sign
Tech for about 2 of those 3 years. When they originally came on
board with our company we were working with a National Sign Co.
out of Florida...we decided to split the country in two and keep
the Florida sign co. for the eastern half and use Sign Tech. for
our western half. Well, needless to say, Sign Tech proved themselves
worthy of all our business. After some major mishaps with the company
out of Florida, we decided to make Sign Tech our only sign company.
I'm sure you know all too well how busy corporate life can be, especially
during growth periods. Well, being a store designer and trying to
manage the sign program at the same time can be very trying. Our
accounts manager has managed our sign program with care, dedication,
and constant attention. We have constant communication on upcoming
projects, closings, etc. Our manager is always up to date on what's
going on and usually knows more about our program than I do! Their
website is incredible for accessing our status reports and new projects
waiting for approvals...what could be better than going online to
see what's going on! It's so beneficial! During those crazy growing
pains, there are things in the home office that can slip through
the cracks...Sign Tech has always managed to get our signs up even
with the smallest possible lead times. Their determination and dedication
to our company has outlasted any other sign company.
As you can tell, we are so pleased with the way their company has
meshed with ours. I, personally, don't know what I would do without
them being there to manage my sign program!
